Morgan, Corporal Albert (1130)

Albert Morgan was born in Ballarat, Victoria, and was a Carpenter with six year’s experience in the AMF Infantry when he joined the AFC on 27 September 1916, a month after his 30th birthday. He embarked for overseas at Melbourne on HMAT A5 Omrah on 17 January 1917. After technical training following his arrival in England, he was posted to No 29 (Australian) Training Squadron at Shawbury, where he was promoted to Corporal.

He died from a perforated ulcer at Prees Heath Hospital on 10 February 1918.

Cpl A Morgan is buried in Grave 32 at Tilstock (Christ Church) Churchyard Extension, Shropshire, England.
