Thomas Dickson was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and was a 23 year old Electrician who had served for three years in the Royal Engineers when he joined the 6th Field Company of the Australian Engineers in Brisbane on 2 November 1915. He transferred to the AFC in September 1916 and left from Melbourne on HMAT A38 Ulysses on 25 October. He was posted to No 69 (Australian) Sqn in August 1917 and promoted to Air Mechanic Class I in September 1918.
He contracted influenza during the pandemic and died of pneumonia on 4 March 1919 at No 20 Casualty Clearing Station.
AMI T Dickson is buried in Grave L 13 at Charleroi Communal Cemetery, France.
