T.E.B. Howe


Irish born, Tom Howe enlisted in the AIF and served with the 12th Battalion at Gallipoli where he was wounded and evacuated back to England. He applied for, and was successful in obtaining, a commission with the Royal Naval Air Service, obtaining his RAeC Certificate (No 3322) on 3 August 1916. He remained in the RAF post war and rose to the rank of Air Commodore. He wrote of his war experiences while a student at the RAF College. This work appears below in .pdf format.
