Combat In The Air Reports

In another first for members, we will slowly be compiling a section devoted to Combat in the Air Reports or CITARS. Below you will find links to AFC, RFC, RNAS and RAF.

Early in the war the British made out a CITAR every time they spotted an enemy aircraft (EA). Later it was only when the aircraft was "engaged" i.e. manoeuvred with and later still (usually) only when the EA was shot at. Unfortunately over the years a number of CITARS have disappeared from the UK Archives due to a number of reasons.
